By Jake Misener

According to Kris Bryant (Twitter), the Cubs have promoted him to Triple-A Iowa.
Can't wait to join the @IowaCubs tomorrow! Thank you to @smokiesbaseball and all my teammates for so many great memories!

Bryant, 22, is the organization’s second-ranked prospect behind Iowa shortstop Javier Baez, with whom he will be teammates. In 68 games with Double-A Tennessee, the third baseman has a triple-slash of .355/.458/.702 to go along with 22 home runs and 58 RBIs. He also racked up 20 doubles in the first portion of his first full professional season.
Cubs fans have been clamoring for Bryant’s call-up for weeks and, at long last, their calls have been answered.
More to come on the promotion here at Cubbies Crib in the coming days.
