Whiteside is hitless in 12 at-bats as entering Thursday. Baker, entered Thursday batting, .159 over 69 at-bats started against the Pirates Thursday.

Whiteside was hitting .171 with three home runs and 13 RBIs over 33 games at Iowa before he was called up.
