While the Chicago Cubs will be playing the Mets, most of the team’s focus will be in New Jersey for the 2014 MLB Draft with the fourth overall pick. There will be a draft preview one hour before live draft coverage of the first two rounds and the supplemental round at 6 p.m. CT on MLB Network.
The Houston Astros have the first overall pick for the third consecutive year. This year is the fifth time the team has picked first overall — having done so previously in 1976, 1992, 2012 and 2013 — which ties it with the San Diego Padres and New York Mets for the most all-time.
The Cubs have the fourth overall pick.
The Draft will be streamed live in its entirety on MLB.com, with the first 74 picks being shown live on MLB Network.
