6/2 Morning Marquee: Chicago Cubs’ infielders battling injuries

Anthony Rizzo was ejected in the fourth inning and Jeff Samardzija had his worst outing this year in a 9-0 Chicago Cubs’ loss to the Brewers Sunday afternoon at Miller Park.

Third baseman Mike Olt took over at first base and Emilio Bonifacio moved from center field to third then Welington Castillo was pulled in the bottom of the fourth because of back stiffness forcing John Baker to enter the game.

Around the league: Blue Jays’ Mark Buehrle became baseball’s first 10-game winner, the Red Sox won their seventh straight, Rangeres’ Yu Darvish struck out 12 to complete a sweep of the Nationals, and the Pirates traded Bryan Morris to the Marlins for a draft pick.
