The Cubs-Reds series opener was postponed due to rain Monday night and no makeup date as been announced.

Around the league, Nationals’ star Bryce Harper will miss two months with a torn thumb ligament, Brewers’ Ryan Braun could be placed on the disabled list after he suffered an oblique injury in the series finale on Sunday against the Cubs, and the Cardinals demoted rookie Kolten Wong to the minors and recalled Greg Garcia and Randal Grichuk.
