Monday night’s series opener between the Chicago Cubs and the Cincinnati Reds was postponed after rainy conditions made getting a game in near-impossible at the Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati.

No make-up date has been announced for tonight’s game.

The same two starters will pitch Tuesday’s night game, meaning Jeff Samardzija will take on Alfredo Simon, hoping for his first win of the 2014 season.
