Chicago Cubs right-fielder Justin Ruggiano suffered a grade two hamstring while attempting to make a play on a ball down the first base line and is expected to miss three to four weeks, tweets MLB.com’s Carrie Muskat.

Ruggiano, 32, hit .229/.308/.343 with six RBIs and four walks in 14 games this season. In the same game Ruggiano injured his hamstring he hit a two-run home run, it was his first on the season.

Ruggiano was acquired by the Chicago Cubs for outfielder Brian Boguesvic on December 12, 2013 from the Miami Marlins. The Texas A&M product was originally drafted in the 25th round of the 2004 MLB Draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers.
