The Chicago Cubs fell 7-2 to the Philadelphia Phillies in their home opener while three prospects ranked in the top 100 are injured.

Cubs prospects: Dillon Maples, Pierce Johnson, and Jorge Soler are sidelined because of injuries.

Around the league, the Boston Red Sox received their World Series rings, the Cleveland Indians signed All-Star 2B Jason Kipnis to six-year extension, and Mashairo Tanaka made his major league debut across the boarder against the Toronto Blue Jays.
