The Chicago Cubs (0-1) will look to come back after a disappointing Opening Day loss against the Pittsburgh Pirates (1-0), as after an off-day the two teams will line it up again, this time in a night contest. Charlie Morton of the Buccos will throw the first pitch at 6:05 CT.

30-year-old Edwin Jackson (0-0, 0.00 ERA) will hope for a solid start to the hopeful comeback season on the bump, and many around the Cubs fanbase believe he`s in line for some positive regression after some bad luck in 2013. Fellow right-hander and 30-year-old Charlie Morton (0-0, 0.00 ERA) will oppose Edwin Jackson on the hill, looking to get off to a good start on the year after inking a 3-year extension in the offseason.

The lineup tonight could be a pretty strong signal that Rick Renteria is indeed going to use the platoon a whole lot of the time, as Renteria has six lefties in the starting nine, including Luis Valbuena at third over 25-year-old Mike Olt. Seems strange a young kid with that much potential could possibly be part of a platoon, as you`d think they would want to give Olt as many at-bats as they can to see what he can do. But, we’ll most likely have to wait a few weeks to jump to conclusions, as after all, it’s just game two.

The NL Central rivalry will be televised on CSN, and if you can`t see it there it will be available on WGN 720 radio.

Here`s how the two teams will square up at PNC Park:
