Starlin Castro believes he is now ready to start in the season opener against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday.

Around the league, the MLB and MLBPA announced upgrades to Joint Drug Agreement with a first offense a player will be suspended 80 games and a second offense is now an entire season. This news comes just one day after newly minted MLBPA Executive Director Tony Clark took his post. The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have agreed to an extension with arguably the best player in baseball – OF Mike Trout.
