Pregame Notes: Jason Hammel to make Cubs debut vs. Cincinnati Reds

Coming off a day of split-squad games the club split, the Chicago Cubs (3-6) will take on the Cincinnati Reds (4-7) this afternoon at Goodyear Ballpark. First pitch is slated for 2:05 p.m. CST.
Right-hander Jason Hammel, formerly a member of the Baltimore Orioles, will make his Chicago Cubs debut this afternoon, as he takes the start for Chicago. He will be opposed by right-hander Alfredo Simon for the Reds.
