This afternoon, the Cubs (0-2) will look to pick up their first win of 2014 after seeing two split-squad games rained out on Saturday. Edwin Jackson, who lost 18 games last season, will also make his first start of the spring against a Kansas City Royals (2-1) club which has high hopes for the upcoming season.
Toeing the rubber against Jackson for the Royals is right-hander Wade Davis. Chicago saw its first signs of offensive life late in its Friday game, when highly-touted infield prospect Kris Bryant hit his first home run of his Cactus League career.
