The Chicago Cubs lost out on 18 innings of Cactus League spring training baseball on Saturday.
The Cubs were rained out twice Saturday, as their home day game against the San Francisco Giants in Mesa was cancelled after both clubs deemed the field unplayable after a downpour before the first pitch and their night cap against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Talking Stick in Scottsdale was also cancelled.
Neither game will be made up, but the Cubs will play a “B” game against the Los Angeles Angels on Monday in Tuscon to make up for lost innings.
