3/1 Morning Marquee: Bryant homers, Cubs routed by Angels
After two days of Spring Training games, the Chicago Cubs are still searching for their first win of 2014. Despite a two-run home run by third base prospect Kris Bryant in the seventh inning Friday, Chicago was routed by the Los Angeles Angels, falling by a 15-3 final. In other news, one of the best power-hitting prospects in the game, Miguel Sano of the Minnesota Twins, will likely need Tommy John surgery and will miss all of 2014. Out west, the Giants have said they are willing to ‘share’ AT&T Park should that situation arise regarding a potential Oakland Athletics move.
