The Cubs kicked off their Cactus League schedule yesterday in front of a record 14,000-plus crowd at new Cubs Park, falling to the split-squad Arizona Diamondbacks, 5-2. In other news, the Derek Jeter’s spring debut ended in a lopsided loss, Ryan Braun homered in his first at-bat back from his suspension and Zack Greinke left after just four pitches with a calf sprain.
