After a brief hiatus, we return with the weekend’s news from around Major League Baseball. In Chicago, Cubs Convention wrapped up and dominated headlines for much of the weekend, several teams are awaiting word from Japanese right-hander Masahiro Tanaka’s camp regarding his decision on which team he will sign with and the Cardinals’ young flamethrower Shelby Miller offered some comments regarding his role with the team during the 2013 postseason.
