With CubsCon less than 2 weeks away, it’s hard not to get excited for one of the most unique experiences that baseball has to offer.
The Cubs Convention, hosted by the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers from January 17-19th, is a chance for fans to get up close and personal with players, front office staff and former Cub greats. The likes of Ernie Banks, Ted Lilly, Mark Prior, Anthony Rizzo, Jeff Samardzija, Starlin Castro, Travis Wood, Darwin Barney will all be in attendance, as well as Chris Bosio and new Cubs manager Rick Renteria.
If you can’t make it Chicago for Cubs Con, don’t sweat it. I’ll be flying to the Windy City exclusively for the convention and I will be blogging and tweeting my way through the experience. All you have to do is kick back, relax, pour yourself a nice, stiff beverage and enjoy the ride.
Admittedly, this is my first time experiencing Cubs Con so I’m slightly unfamiliar with the process. It seems as though the convention is broken down via section and lectures from various Cubs personalities. I’ll be certain to attend the most interesting and broad reaches ones in order to satisfy as many people as possible.
Have any suggestions? Know some awesome spots in Chicago that I have to hit up? Get at me on Twitter and let’s chat.
