Several reports are indicating the Boston Red Sox are one big team that will not be bidding against the Chicago Cubs for Japan’s ace Masahiro Tanaka. Talk on what teams are interest in Tanaka continue to circulate as well as which players are not getting votes in the Baseball Hall of Fame.
On Friday morning, the home park of the West Michigan White Caps, Midwest League affiliate of the Detroit Tigers caught fire. All 30 employees at the ballpark were evacuated safely, and the team hopes to have the ballpark repaired and refurbished in time for the start of the season.
