As a gift to all Major League Baseball fans, the Rakuten Golden Eagles have announced they will post right-handed pitcher Masahiro Tanaka on Tuesday. Chicago Cubs General Manager Jed Hoyer made it known in November that they will place a bid for Tanaka. The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees, Texas Rangers, and Arizona Diamondbacks are also said to be interested.
The Cubbies Crib staff wishes you all a Merry Christmas and hope you enjoy the day with family and friends. As Cubs fans, all we really want is for the Cubs to outbid every team for Tanaka and then sign him, and Starlin Castro and Darwin Barney to increase their offensive production.
