The Chicago Cubs released their 2014 Spring Training schedule Monday afternoon which includes, 16 home games at their new spring training facility named Cubs Park. The ballpark will hold that name this year unless the Cubs can sell its naming rights. Hall of Famer Ernie Banks is slated to be among 16 citizens to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom on Wednesday at the White House.

The Cubs did not make any moves in free-agency Monday but there was plenty of action around the league. The Philadelphia Phillies re-signed catcher Carlos Ruiz, the San Francisco Giants signed pitcher Tim Hudson, and closer LaTroy Hawkins signed with the Colorado Rockies.
