Cubbies Crib: Morning Marquee 11/17

Dallas Beeler, Jorge Soler, Kris Bryant and the Mesa Solar Sox finished their 2013 Arizona Fall League campaign with a 2-0 loss against the Surprise Saguaros in the AFL championship game. Beeler gave up one earned run, two hits, and struck out five over five innings while Soler was 0-3 and Bryant 0-4 at the plate. Albert Almora did not play after suffering a minor leg injury on Friday afternoon while running to first base. Prior to the championship game, Bryant was named the AFL MVP.

Candidates for the Cubs’ WGN Radio job seem to be narrowing with Dave Otto, Todd Hollandsworth, and Ron Coomer being sourced as the leading former Cub players to get the job.
