Mesa Solar Sox win division; Arizona Fall League Championship game Saturday

The Mesa Solar Sox defeated the Glendale Desert Dogs 9-3 on Thursday afternoon and clinched the Arizona Fall League’s East Division title.

Top Chicago Cubs’ prospects Albert Almora, Kris Bryant, Jorge Soler and others will play the Surprise Saguaros in the AFL Championship game at Scottsdale, this Saturday at 2 p.m. CT. The game will be televised on MLB Network.
Soler went 2-for-5, Bryant was 1-for-3 and Almora 0-for-1 before leaving the game with a reported minor injury. Almora was replaced by Zach Borenstein (Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim) who hit a two-run home run to spark the Sox offense.
