Cubbies Crib: Morning Marquee 11/14

Rumors continue to circulate about the Chicago Cubs and potential trades with other teams for pitcher Jeff Samardzija and outfielder Nate Schierholtz. The Arizona Diamondbacks and Toronto Blue Jays are the main targets that are popping up while a major report from CBS Sports about a potential blockbuster prospect trade between the Cubs and the Miami Marlins. The Marlins’ farm system is heavy with young pitching which the Cubs need and the Cubs’ are heavy with position players which the Marlins seek. There has been no update or confirmation of this potential prospect trade but it would be a risk for either team during their respective re-building process.
