The Chicago Cubs have a new manager in Rick Renteria. The official announcement will come later today. He previously served as the San Diego Padres bench coach and was a minor league manager in their organization for several years. Keith Moreland will not return to the WGN Radio booth next season and the Cubs may part ways with WGN-TV after the 2014 season.
In the Arizona Fall League, Kris Bryant went 2 for 3 with a walk and scored a run. Wes Darvill went 0 for 4 and both Lendy Castillo and Armando Rivero pitched a scoreless inning while walking one and striking out another.
