Cubbies Crib: Morning Marquee 10/27

The Chicago Cubs will reportedly interview former Seattle Mariners and Cleveland Indians skipper Eric Wedge next week before meeting with Boston Red Sox bench coach Torey Lovullo at the end of the World Series. San Diego Padres’ assistant general manager A.J. Hinch and bench coach Rick Renteria will get second interviews as well. The Cubs’ top prospects continue to thrive in the Arizona Fall League with the new spring training facility in Mesa, Az. nearing completion.

In the World Series, the St. Louis Cardinals took a close Game 3 over the Boston Red Sox with a walk-off on an obstruction call at third base involving Cardinals Allen Craig and Red Sox Will Middlebrooks. The Series continues Sunday night with injured Clay Buchholz taking the mound against Cardinals Lance Lynn.
