The Chicago Cubs managerial search has not come to a complete stand still during the World Series, reports indicate they will interview former manager Eric Wedge. There is no word on when the interview will be conducted.
In Game 2 of the World Series, the St. Louis Cardinals evened the series with rookie Michael Wacha on the mound and Carlos Beltran in the lineup. Wacha pitched five scoreless innings before giving up a two-run homer to David Ortiz. The Cardinals then were the ones capitalizing on defensive errors en route to a 4-2 victory at Fenway Park. The Series resumes on Saturday night in St. Louis with Jake Peavy taking the mound against Joe Kelly.
