Cubbies Crib: Morning Marquee 10/12
There is no new news on the Cubs managerial search but several prospects are making a name for themselves in the Arizona Fall League. The hated St. Louis Cardinals claimed a 13 inning victory in Game 1 of the National League Championship Series at Busch Stadium over the Los Angeles Dodgers off Carlos Beltran’s bat Friday night. NL Cy Young Award candidate Clayton Kershaw will take the mound Saturday afternoon for the Dodgers against rookie phenom Michael Wacha as they look to even the series. The American League Championship Series begins tonight at Fenway Park with Anibal Sanchez taking the ball for the Detroit Tigers and Jon Lester for the Boston Red Sox.
