With the Cubs getting swept at home over the weekend at the hands of the Reds, there may be some of you that want to avoid watching another Cubs game for the good of your health. For those of you who just can’t seem to take your eyes away from the love that is your Cubs, this serves as a reminder that the make up contest with the Rangers from April is on for tonight. First pitch will be at 7:05 pm CST and will be broadcast on WCIU “The U” locally, with WGN 720 offering the game on radio as always for those of you who may be stuck on the commute home from a late day at work.

The Cubs will send former Ranger Scott Feldman to the mound to face his old mates, while Texas will counter with rookie Nick Tepesch. The game is basically a pit stop for the Rangers on their way up to a short two game set with the Brewers in Milwaukee after hosting both colored Sox at home the last week, so there will not be much of a jet lag advantage for the Cubs to benefit from. Feldman has been improving over the last three starts, peaking with the complete game effort last time out against the Padres. Cubs fans are hoping he will have a little extra in the tank as he hosts his former team that found him expendable over this past off season.
