Greetings, Cubbies Crib Readers: Introductory Post
I’d like to take this time to introduce myself to the readers of Cubbies Crib. My name is Stan Croussett (crew-set) and I am a 19 year old college student living in Philadelphia, PA.
I was born in the Dominican Republic, and if that itself isn’t enough to let you know: I am obsessed with baseball. I completely

acknowledge the fact that I suffer from baseball fever and by no means do I want a cure.
As I watched games with my uncles and grandfather in DR, I quickly fell in love with the Chicago Cubs not only because of Sammy Sosa‘s incredible (well, sorta credible now) summer of 1998, but also for the beautiful scenery of Wrigley Field. That was all I needed. I have since then been a long-suffering Cubs fan.
The move to Philadelphia, however, did not help that. This is a Phillies city, along with your bunch of Red Sox and Yankees lovers. I found myself to be the only Cubs fan in a huge city. So what did I do? What the rest of this generation does: I took to the Internet! I’ve used this simple resource to fill my head of baseball knowledge and it has sprouted into this wonderful opportunity given to me by my colleague Andrew Denny that is writing for Cubbies Crib.
I hope you enjoy my contributions to this site and hopefully agree with how I see the Chicago Cubs as a displaced fan. Also, I encourage you to follow me on Twitter via @MindofStan as it is the best way to contact me.
