Christmas came early to Cub fans when Kevin Goldstein’s article on the Cubs top prospects was published for all, scouting reports included, on Baseball Prospectus. All in all, Goldstein is fairly positive on the Cubs system and, like Jim Callis’s list a few weeks ago, we see several players from the Cubs 2011 draft high on the list.
Since Goldstein’s scouting reports are there for all, I’ll let you read his thoughts rather than recap what I wrote on the individual players earlier in the month. There are some surprises in this list… a certain catcher in particular is higher than I would expect… but it is a great list and well worth reading.
And of course I’ll be happy to answer in questions in the comments or via Twitter @ltblaize.
