Since the Cubs announced the signing of Kerry Wood, newsworthy items regarding the Cubs have slowed down considerably. The hottest topic regarding the Chicago Cubs right now is the search to replace Ron Santo. As of now, it appears that both Dan Plesac and Keith Moreland are the leading candidates to join Pat Hughes in the WGN Radio booth. As for the Hot Stove, the Cubs remain on the lookout for a starting pitcher, but nothing appears to be imminent. With the lack of news, here are a few links to great articles regarding the Chicago Cubs.

Despite what seems as a minor difference, it was actually a special gift to the Santo family. Throughout his final hours, Santo was fighting through each of them.
  • Chicago Cubs Online takes a look at two prospects that we should keep our eyes on during the 2011 season. While most of the attention is sure to be on Brett Jackson, Chris Archer, and Chris Carpenter, the CCO  believes that infield prospects D.J. LeMahieu and Hak-Ju Lee are the prospects watch in 2011 season.

Cubbies Crib has really taken off during the last quarter of 2010, and we are hoping that our successes only increase in 2011. However, we are going to be trying to implement some new things to increase interactions between us and you.

The first thing we want to do is have a mail bag every week. Originally the plan was to go with a live chat every week, but we decided that a mail bag would be the better route for us, So, start sending in your Cubs questions to cubbiescrib@gmail.com.

We also are going to do a lot more polls in the coming year. It is important that your voice gets heard at Cubbies Crib, and by implementing polls we would be doing so. As with the mail bag, we would likely have one poll question per week.

Finally, pre-game and post game reports will now be featured on Cubbies Crib during the regular season. From game 1 to game 162, Joe Han will show off his true talents as our game reporter.
