Castro Shines in Record Breaking Debut

Well, Starlin Castro’s major league debut got off to a booming start, and by booming I mean hitting a three run home run  in his first major league at bat. And if that wasn’t enough, he followed up the home run with a three run triple in his third at bat, giving him a total of six RBI’s in his first major league game.

With Castro’s 6 RBI night, he became the first player in MLB history to have 6 RBI’s in their major league debut. He also became the youngest player,20, to hit a home run and a triple while driving in six runs in a game.

If anything, this certainly makes the Cubs look smart for calling Castro up when they did. As their reasoning was to increase offensive production, and that they did as the 14 runs they scored yesterday are the most runs the Cubs have scored in a game this season.
