Looking at the Cubs Blogosphere

Starting this week, we will be looking at other Cubs related blogs and see what topics, or ideas they are suggesting to the rest of Cubs nation. So, with that being said lets get started.

Chicago Cubs Online takes a look at some of the news and notes about the Cubs, after seven games of the season. Among the biggest topics they mention are until yesterday the struggling offense, and of course Alfonso Soriano. They also mention that the Cubs plan to pull Soriano late in games for defensive purposes for the time being. And they mention that it now appears that Ted Lilly will be back by April 24th.

Hot Stove Cubbies takes a look at some the mistakes we have seen from the Cubs over the first week of games. Among the things they mention were the bad calls by umpires, and Lou’s decisiveness when it comes to taking a starter out of the game.

Everything Cubs has a player profile on Xavier Nady . As they take a look into the career of the new cubs outfielder, and mentioning his previous stop in the NL Central when he was a Pittsburgh Pirate.

Chi-Town Cubbies takes a look at what the Cubs are going to do from now on in the eighth inning. He mentions that lefties Sean Marshall, and James Russell will be now in the games during the later innings. He also suggests that Jeff Samardzija be sent down when Ted Lilly returns from the DL.

Over at Bleacher Nation they look into Ted Lilly’s minor league rehab start, and he is hoping this is his only one. However, despite what Lilly wants, it is likely that we will not see Lilly for two more weeks, when he has at least two rehab starts,

Bleed Cubbie Blue has very interesting read on some of the most lopsided trades in MLB history. For the Cubs I’m sure the most lopsided trade was the now infamous Brock for Broglio trade.
