An MRI performed on Geovany Soto‘s injured right shoulder showed only inflammation and no structural damage, says the Daily Herald. The Cubs now say the should not have to place Soto on the disabled list, but will rest the catcher for a few more days. Koyie Hill will likely get all the starts during this weekend’s Brewers series, with Soto only being used in an emergency. Clearly great news for Soto and the Cubs. Not only does Geo swing a great stick, but he is really starting to develop a rapport with Carlos Zambrano, which should be helpful in tempering Carlos’s volatile tendencies.
