Horrible story out of Los Angeles: Early this morning, 22-year-old Angels rookie pitcher Nick Adenhart and two others were killed when their car was struck at an intersection in Fullerton. The motorist responsible for the accident – he reportedly ran a red light and drove Adenhart’s vehicle into a light pole – fled the scene but was apprehended by police. Peter Gammons says the Angels have not yet decided whether to play their scheduled game against Oakland tonight. Adenhart was drafted by the Angles in 2004 and made just his fourth career start Wednesday night, earning a no decision in L.A’s 6-4 loss to the A’s.
