Good Riddance Shea Stadium

Stadiumpage.com has been photographically chronicling the demolition of Shea Stadium, which the Mets abandoned after last season (Ron Santo may have one of the pictures as his desktop even as we speak).  This year the Mets will play in a new stadium tentatively to be called Citi Field.  I say “tentatively” because there are rumors that beleaguered bank Citigroup, which signed a 20-year, $400 million naming rights deal with the Mets, is trying to back out.  Maybe they should just call the place Another September Choke-Job Field.  Has a nice ring.
