Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo caused damages to a press box window Sunday as his team battled the Oakland Athletics in Arizona.
While Kris Bryant was busy cranking an opposite-field home run to pace the offense, Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo caused damage in another way. The slugger fouled a pitch back at HoHoKam Stadium in Mesa, causing a spiderweb effect in the press box window.
Social media accounts for reporters quickly posted photos of the damage. And, shortly thereafter, the Cubs and Athletics traded back-and-forth on Twitter with some pretty awesome GIFs, as well.
Does Anthony Rizzo get charged for this? His foul ball just did some damage to a press box window. #Athletics pic.twitter.com/fhS3jiM7lB

The Chicago slugger is looking to build on not only a World Series championship from 2016, but also an impressive personal performance. He finished fourth in NL MVP voting, also winning a Silver Slugger and a Gold Glove.
He tied a career-high with 32 long-balls a year ago, setting a personal best with 109 runs batted in. Unlike some power-hitting run producers, Rizzo posted a .385+ on-base percentage for the third-straight season.

Rizzo also had a fourth-inning RBI double in the contest. That being said, it seems safe to assume most people will be talking about this window more than the double.
