It has been a month since the Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Having to scratch and claw their way out from a 3-1 deficit against the Cleveland Indians wasn’t easy. And it tested the minds of Cubs’ fans around the world.

However, we all know how this story ends. The Chicago Cubs, who appeared to be outmatched, silenced their critics. We all know where we were when Kris Bryant fielded a Michael Martinez chopper and made the throw to Anthony Rizzo.

Hearing Joe Buck shout the words, “The Cubs have finally won it all!” sent shivers throughout my entire body as I pressed my face against my Father’s chest. My Dad, like many others, never had the opportunity to watch a Cubs World Series with their own.

Being able to share that moment alongside my little brother has been immortalized in a fantastic collection. Now, for those of you who tuned in, The 2016 World Series Film aired on FS1. I, personally, was unable to catch it.

Which, honestly, I was disappointed in myself. But, we’re 23 days out from Christmas and that means we’ll have the opportunity to relive that moment for as long as we want.

Why? Because on Tuesday, December 6th, a DVD, and two-disc Blu-ray (each includes a digital copy) will be available in stores and is available for pre-order on Shout! Factory’s official website, right now.

Not to mention, the monster and must-must have collectors edition goes on sale starting December 16th.

That collection includes a whopping EIGHT discs that have a run time of 20 hours combined.

Features

The collector’s edition will be available in both regular DVD and Blu-ray. Bonus features include highlights from the regular season, clinching moments, and of course, World Series and parade highlights as well.

Who doesn’t remember five million people packing the streets of Chicago, watching our beloved Cubbies cruise through the streets? And watching men such as Joe Maddon, Anthony Rizzo, Jon Lester, Kris Bryant, Kyle Schwarber, Javier Baez, and Ben Zobrist (just to name a few), honor the entire city.

If you’re a Cubs fan, you know how hard it was to back this team through thick and thin. The greatest thing about our fan base is that we’ve never given up on this club. Even when they were down by multiple runs or were eliminated from postseason contention.

We continued to pack Wrigley Field and or tune into whatever television station to watch our Cubs play ball.

For those of you who were able to catch the special showing on FS1, let us know what you thought of the film in the comment section below. I’m curious to see how well Vince Vaughn handled the commentary.
