For Chicago Cubs fans, today is like Christmas, only you don’t know if you’ve been good enough to get presents–and Kershaw looks to play the role of the Grinch. Will Saturday be the day we’ve been hoping for?

It’s Game 6 for the Chicago Cubs. There are many of us that remember the last time we were in this spot quite well. Whatever your perception of it is, it’s hard to ignore. For Steve Bartman, his life changed forever that day. Simply a fan trying to catch a foul ball, and it all unraveled for him that day. Years later, most have the sense to know it wasn’t his fault (looking at you Alex Gonzalez), but there are a few that have held on to that blame. Let it go. Bartman never deserved it, and it’s time to let the man live a normal life.

In Games 2 and 3, Clayton Kershaw and Rich Hill were untouchable. Part of that can be attributed to the pitching of those two. But make no mistakes, the Cubs’ offense was mired in a terrible slump. As Kershaw will take the mound for the fourth time in 12 days, can he continue to save the Dodgers season? Or are the Cubs about to make history?

The Dodgers plan against Jon Lester was to get on base and exploit his weakness. Throwing to first. That plan failed, and left the Dodgers wondering what went wrong. Everyone knows Lester doesn’t like throwing to first, yet the Dodgers could capitalize. What seemed like a “surefire” way to beat Lester didn’t work. And with that, Lester’s postseason legend continues to grow.
