The Chicago Cubs dropped Saturday’s game to the Milwaukee Brewers 6-1 while news that former All-Star Joe Nathan would be joining the team on Sunday.

The Chicago Cubs had no answers for the Brewers Zach Davies, but the Brewers had all the answers as John Lackey dropped his sixth in his last seven outings. The game also served as the debut for the Cubs newest arm Mike Montgomery–but that didn’t go well. He inherited two runners and eventually gave up a three-run home run to Kirk Nieuwenhuis–his second home run of the game.

Joe Nathan joins the Cubs bullpen on Sunday, and after another dreadful performance from Clayton Richard, many believed he had thrown his last pitch as a Cub. But the corresponding move wasn’t Richard at all but Adam Warren as he was sent to Triple-A Iowa. The move may leave a few fans scratching their heads on this one.

The talk of a trade with the New York Yankees continues, but it appears it might be for Aroldis Chapman instead of Andrew Miller. The Yankees may decide to keep Miller and trade Chapman with the hopes of resigning him in the offseason. The Cubs, Nationals and Indians seem to sit as the frontrunners.
