The 2015 Oscars took place last night, and in honor of the 87th Academy Awards we decided to take a look at some of the celebrities that our Chicago Cubs’ fans in one fashion or another. There are varying degrees for many of them, and in some cases they even cheer for both teams in Chicago. (Gasp!) Although it’s just a small sample, there are Cubs’ fans all over Hollywood.

After what was undoubtedly the best stretch of his career, Jason Hammel was sure he wanted to return to Chicago after being traded to Oakland midseason. Theo Epstein brought the right-hander back, and all parties hope he gives them the solid No. 3 starter they need behind Jon Lester and Jake Arrieta.

It was at best a pipe dream, but fans now can move on as Cuban prospect Yoan Moncada has signed with the Boston Red Sox. The Cubs were in the running, but were in a bind as they wouldn’t have any  international signing money freed up until July. They would have had to convince Moncada to wait, which wasn’t going to happen.
