The Chicago Cubs complete a three-game series sweep of the Mets and drafted catcher Kyle Schwarber with the fourth overall pick in the 2014 MLB Draft. In the second round, the Cubs selected right-handed pitcher Jake Stinnett.

The Houston Astros selected LHP Brady Aiken first overall then the Marlins picked RHP Tyler Kolek and the White Sox took Carlos Rodon for the top three picks in the draft.
