The Chicago Cubs (13-18) will travel to Chase Field in Phoenix to take on the Arizona Diamondbacks (12-11) in an exhibition matchup, leading up to the start of the regular season.

Chicago will hand the ball to Edwin Jackson (1-3, 5.14 ERA), who is coming off a start where he allowed four earned runs in five innings of work in a spring start against the Cincinnati Reds. He notched seven strikeouts, but did allow eight hits in a losing effort.

He will be opposed by right-hander Trevor Cahill (1-1, 7.88 ERA) for the Diamondbacks. Arizona and Chicago will meet for a final preseason tune-up on Saturday afternoon, concluding preseason play for 2014.

Tonight’s game will be broadcast on CSN Chicago following the conclusion of the Blackhawks game and a radio broadcast will be streamed at MLB.com.
