3/20 Morning Marquee: Mike Olt to start at 3B Thursday, Aroldis Chapman hit in the face

Carlos Gonzalez hit a three-run homer, Franklin Morales pitched four effective innings and the Colorado Rockies overcame Chicago Cubs starter Carlos Villanueva‘s eight strikeouts to beat the Chicago 9-6 Wednesday night.

Mike Olt will get the start at third base for the Cubs on Thursday while the Cubs grounds crew rushes to prepare Wrigley Field for the home opener on March 31.

Around the league, Cincinnati Reds pitcher Aroldis Chapman was hit in the face by a line drive against the Kansas City Royals. After Chapman departed on a cart both sides decided to call the game with the Royals leading 6-3. Also, Houston Astros’ top prospect Carlos Correa will have X-rays done on his hand after being hit by pitch.
