Mike Olt and top prospect Javier Baez hit back-to-back homers for the Chicago Cubs as they scored five unearned runs off the Texas Rangers in the third inning, but the Rangers rallied back for a 7-6 win in the tenth inning.

The Cubs made eight roster cuts yesterday, including Josh Vitters and Brett Jackson who were optioned to Triple-A Iowa. Shortstop Starlin Castro says his hamstring is at ’90 percent’ and he believes he will be ready for Opening Day.
