Moustakas hit a drive off starter Edwin Jackson to lead off the second inning and hit a two-run shot off Carlos Villanueva in the third. Cubs shortstop Starlin Castro left after the first inning with a ‘mild hamstring strain’ trying to steal second and was replaced by Javier Baez.

Around the league, the Cleveland Indians acquired Justin Sellers from the Los Angeles Dodgers and Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun was booed in his home Spring training debut, which marked his first playing appearance since he was suspended for using performance enhancing drugs.
