The biggest story from around Major League Baseball recently involved the anticipated announcement of changes to the league’s home plate collision rules. In other news, the deal between outfielder Nelson Cruz and the Baltimore Orioles became official and a report surfaced indicating the Chicago Cubs could trade Jeff Samardzija prior to Opening Day.
