2/19 Morning Marquee: Anthony Rizzo to take leadership role

Chicago Cubs General Manager Jed Hoyer fielded questions again Tuesday and he believes first baseman Anthony Rizzo can lead the youth movement. Rizzo joked with media about the media buzz about the Cubs prospects, “You guys are going to crown them the next Babe Ruth.”

Around the league, the San Fransisco Giants and Brandon Belt reached agreement on a one-year deal with $2.9 million, Justin Masterson and the Cleveland Indians agreed to one-year deal worth $9.8 million, and Washington Nationals star pitcher Stephen Strasburg is working to add a slider.
