The Chicago Cubs battle for third-base is wide open and despite Javier Baez‘s and Kris Bryant‘s offensive prowess they both realize they need to develop their defense game before taking Wrigley Field this summer. Cubs’ starter Jeff Samardzija wouldn’t be surprised if Ryan Dempster, his mentor, made a comeback in 2015 and the Canadian pitcher could possibly be a fit for the Cubs next year.
