Chicago Cubs Tickets - Five Highest Priced Spring Training Games

The Chicago Cubs are starting their club upgrades in spring training by leaving Hohokam Stadium and moving their facilities to the new Cubs Park in Mesa, Arizona. The facility will be the new home for the Cubs in the spring. Cubs spring training tickets have an average price of $64.57 for the first year at the new spring complex.

2/27/14 vs Arizona Diamondbacks | Avg. Price $84.66 | Get-in Price $15

The late February game against the Diamondbacks has the highest average price, but the lowest get-in price of the top spring games. It will be the first game for the Cubs at their new spring training home.

3/14/14 vs Los Angeles Dodgers | Avg. Price $81.88 | Get-in Price $28

The Dodgers came on at the end of last season as one of the top teams in the National League with stars such as Clayton Kershaw and Hanley Ramirez. Los Angeles will be bringing those players into Mesa for a game 27% above the average price of Cubs spring games.

3/27/14 vs Chicago White Sox | Avg. Price $76.95 | Get-in Price $27

The Chicago rivalry doesn’t just stick to the regular season. The average price is 19% above the average spring price for Cubs games, though it has the second lowest get-in price of the top five spring games. This will also be the final home game of the Spring for the Cubs.

3/22/14 vs Cincinnati Reds | Avg. Price $73.81 | Get-in Price $30

Cincinnati has been ahead of the the Cubs in the NL Central for a few seasons now, but the game against the two division rivals has the highest get-in price for the spring at Cubs Park.

3/1/14 vs San Francisco Giants (SS) | Avg. Price $72.52 | Get-in Price $28

San Francisco had a disappointing season a year after winning the World Series and will use the spring to start their climb back to the top of the NL West. This will be a split squad game for the Cubs, with the other half of the roster playing a road game against the Diamondbacks.

The Cubs likely won’t contend this season, but spring training will give fans a good look at some of the top prospects Chicago has who are projected to make a big impact in the big leagues in the next few seasons.
